OFRG looks forward to the upcoming general election campaign and invites concerned citizens, educated voters, and taxpayers throughout the state to get involved. The November elections will be important to Oklahoma’s future by electing candidates who believe that personal responsibility, tax dollar transparency, and protecting our personal freedoms is the ultimate priority.

Debt Reminder
Filed Under Blog | Leave a Comment
The Tulsa World gave all Oklahomans another reminder this morning to the reckless bond package that was passed by concerned lawmakers in May.
So concerned that they levied debt on future taxpayers for a river development project in Tulsa that Tulsa county voters rejected. Guess what Guymon? You are paying for it! Same goes for Idabel, Stigler, Grove, Woodward, Altus, and every community in our great state.
There is more to this story. Since 2005, the legislature has passed over $1 Billion in bonds (debt) without prioritizing its budget and finding real dollars.
Wish you had the credit line our lawmakers THINK you the taxpayers can afford…

House Speaker Chris Benge named a panel of seven lawmakers and 30 community leaders to a House task force on health care reform.
Included in the mix was our friends at Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs. OCPA President Hopper Smith will be there to provide an added voice for free-market principles.
In a press release, Speaker Benge said “This task force will take a comprehensive look at our health care system and the problems fueling growth in the number of uninsured Oklahomans. The group’s emphasis will be to find common-sense solutions that empower families, not creating a government-run, single-payer system that simply grows bureaucracy.”
